Our journey began in 2022 when we were introduced to each other through
the friendship of our daughters.
On a fashion trip to Paris, the two found out they had
a mutual desire to create and a passion for dresses in particular. While
walking the streets of Paris dreams were made.
Back in Norway the two set out on a mission to create dresses that were
aiming to become staples in closets around the world (none the less)
Aspiring to create dresses that would just have that extra something,
the go - to dress you would throw on when wanting to feel your
absolutely best. And while loving the effortless vibe, we wanted it all
to appear in an understated way.
The name RUE came naturally to us in Paris, with the word meaning
street/road. You are always on the road to somewhere, wearing
something. (Most preferably RUE)
With Jeanetts experience in the fashion industry along with Linns
passion for diving into new adventures - we thought we would be a
fierceful duo.
We are now in the beginning of our journey and hope you are joining us.

Our fabric
When we sat out on a mission to create timeless dresses that would become wardrobe essentials, we knew the choice of fabric would play the key role.
We wanted the dresses to fit beautifully with hugging the body on the right places all the time while feeling (and looking) luxurious on the skin. We wanted a fabric in such quality that would last a lifetime.
Silk as a fabric ticked off all these boxes so soon we were on a plane to the land of silk - China. We partnered up with a factory specialized in this fabric and so the story began.
Almost all of our RUE dresses are made from 100% silk ( some has a little spandex involved for the sake of stretch)
Always remember to treat your RUE dresses with care as silk is a delicate fabric. Silk has a great bonus in being naturally hypoallergenic and breathable - meaning it is often enough to give your RUE dress some fresh air in terms of cleaning - in between wears.Explore
